Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG by MKB Tuning

Although the tuning specialist MKB is not as famous as other German tuners, it has nevertheless come up with some of the most elegant and potent upgrades in the field, particularly where Mercedes-Benz cars are concerned.

The tuner’s most current creation is patterned after the twin-turbocharged CL65 AMG Coupe although a lot of the styling and performance revision can also be utilized in any model in the CL-Class such as the basic CL500/550 model. The upgrade package is dubbed the MKB 65/12 BT and comes with a number of subtle styling revisions together with engine, wheel and tire enhancements. With MKB modifications the CL65 powerplant power yield was bumped from 517hp (385kW) in the standard model to 750hp (560kW). Top torque was also raised to 922lb-ft (1,250Nm).

Newport Convertible Engineering in Newport Beach has upped the ante by chopping the top on this beloved piece of automotive engineering whereby creating one of the most desireable convertibles we've ever seen here at Carlyle. Though we're slightly disappointed that the roof does not fold away into the trunk, seeing a CL with no top is enough to make us forget about all of the material folded up & compressed behind the rear passengers' headrests.

Although this piece is a 1 of 1, if Mercedes Benz ever decided to mass produce a similar convertible CL-Class, these things would fly out of showrooms worldwide. That leaves just one question: Could this be the most beautiful convertible ever?
