Rendered Speculation: next Murcielago will be (*gulp*) longer and wider

Meet the next ultimate Lambo!
These pictures give us the best look yet at how the raging bull of the future will shape up – and it’s set to eclipse the existing Murciélago in every way.
The car has yet to be given a name, but it’s expected to combine Lamborghini owner Audi’s aluminium spaceframe chassis with a carbon fibre bodyshell.
That will make it much lighter than the Murciélago it replaces – and guarantees stunning performance to go with the incredible looks.
Up front is a pronounced spoiler and fresh headlamps – but designers have reserved the biggest changes for the rear. They have moved the Murciélago’s trademark angular exhaust closer to the ground, while new strip-like LED tail-lights replace the current square units.
Power is expected to come from a 6.0-litre V12 with around 700bhp – that would propel the car from 0-60mph in just over three seconds.
The new Lambo will also be wider and longer, while four-wheel drive ensures it’s firmly planted on the road.
Preliminary prototypes have been spied near Germany’s Nürburgring track, but the car is unlikely to arrive before 2012.
The newcomer will also pave the way for future generations of hybrid Lambos.
It will be the brand’s first car to use efficient technologies such as stop-start and energy regeneration, and is a major step towards bosses’ plans to deliver the first-ever Lamborghini hybrid by 2015.

Chromed-Out Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster
A couple weeks back we wrote about a chromed-out Audi R8 supercar spotted in the UK which sparked a heated debate on automotive aesthetics. Now a chrome Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster (above) has been seen prowling around London where it's been turning heads to say the least as you can see. The Lamborghini is already eye-popping enough in normal livery for most folk, so the chromed-out version seems designed to scream "Look at me!" And maybe traffic-choked London is simply the wrong setting for this thing - perhaps it could be quite beautiful out on the Bonneville Salt Flats or something - but it seems to me we're straying into Prince of Brothels territory here. What do you think? Wednesday, July 29, 2009

La Dolce Vita Automobili has recently announced a great feature to their premiere show this year: the addition of the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SV.
The car pictured above will be sitting on the lawns of Black Horse Golf Course where attendees will get an up close look at the super exotic Lamborghini. Finished in White with black rims this Lamborghini is a stunner for sure.
The Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SV is powered by a V12 with 670 Italian horsies. Lamborghini claims this special edition Lambo can hit sixty in just 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 200 mph at 212.
"The new Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce is the systematic continuation of our brand philosophy. It is more extreme and uncompromising than virtually any other automobile," says Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni gets its launch on
David Kaiser, the same man who brought us images of the Tramontana F1 in full jet fighter camouflage regalia, has struck again with stunning pictures from Lamborghini's launch of the Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni in Zürich, Switzerland. According to Kaiser, this was the third stop of the car's initial European tour following appearances in Paris and Lyon in France. Next, the Italian crew will pack up and take their show on to various locations in the United Kingdom. In case you your memory needs refreshed, the new Lambo was named in honor of the automaker'slongtime test driver.
